Thanks for the helpful comments. I'm less puzzled now. Aaron - that seems
like the right way to solve it for me (I want the makefile to work across
several platforms so I don't want skim-specific stuff in there)

I've been using this app for a while. Currently on the latest version 1.4.1
I'm kind of puzzled by the slightly nondeterministic behaviour of skim.
Perhaps I'm doing it wrong. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
One of the main reasons to install skim was to have automatic updates for
pdf files t
Why won't Skim open and display text of more than one document at a
time?
I can open second and multiple documents in Skim, but only the first
document opened displays text.
The others open but are blank, no text display.
Skim 1.3.22 on Mac PowerPC 10.5.8
