Yes, I don't hear any adds, but just the annoying word "advertisement", and I use Jaws. --Octavian - Original Message - From: Clare Page via Skypeenglish To: 'screen readers' access to skype and its interface.' Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2015 3:22 PM Subject: Re: [Skypeen

Hi clare I think there may lie the issue. Many people on this list, all jaws users i think, are not able to disable ads in skype 7. I’ve never upgraded and, like yourself, have never had issues with ads in version 6. This problem only started to occur with 7. There was a work-around for

Hi! I never hear any ads in Skype since I unchecked the Allow Targeted Ads option, which is something I did several versions back. It just occurred to me that maybe some screenreaders see the ads and others don’t. NVDA certainly doesn’t see them since I unchecked the Allow Targeted Ads checkbox,

Hi! You don’t need Skype credit to get rid of the ads in Skype. Here’s how to get rid of them in Skype 7.1 for Windows, without spending any money or having to do anything very complicated. Go into the Tools menu in Skype, then into Options, then arrow down to Privacy Settings. Then tab down to t

Great! Thank you. I bought 5 EUR credit and I don't hear "advertisement" anymore (after I restarted Skype). I read on Skype page that a minute call cost 0.7 cents and I was curious to try a call to phone by Skype, but I found that it costs ~ 22 cents, so much more expensive than a simple phone
