You're going to have a severely limited system without Python.

I guess you mean Blender (not blender). If it is possible, you'll
probably lose much functionality. My built package has 2407 file entries
(from tar tvf Blender-2.78-... |wc -l) and 989
Do I really need python to build? I would like to disable python.

binary). Thanks to Ryan P.C. McQuen for his work on that.

the Audio/Video category, but it's a 3D modelization software, so the

I would vote Multimedia, actually. Yes it does 3d modeling, but it also
does rigging, 3d animation, and even 2d animation. And technically video
editing but...don't get me started.

This IS Slackware, I will defer to upstream here and use their listing.

OK, well, this is only a minor configuration detail. Thanks again for

Hi to all and happy new year!
I have notice Blender needing "libpython3.4m.so.1.0", while python3
(3.5.1) provides "libpython3.5m.so.1.0".
This makes Blender impossible to run without downgrading to an older
python3 version or make a symlink
from "libpython3.5m.so.1.0" to "libpython3.4m.so.1.0".
