usage of Slide Client API

hi, I took a look at the Client API package "org.apache.webdav.lib.methods", the methods in the pakage seems to obey the WebDAV protocol.I wonder if I use Slide(WebDAV) client API to creat my own client application, may I use the client application to connect to any other WebDAV server? thx _
