..bored yet? then STOP reading these, chump! :) anyway, for those of you who care, i could barely stand up friday AFTERNOON when i woke up, thanks to halifax being a bunch of stupid hills (just ask warren and d'arcy how much they enjoyed it). much as i hate the prairies, i love the flatness of this land.
i finally got some video tape and ran past citadel hill just in time to notice i was probably missing orange glass. AUGH!!!!!! i got there in time to catch about five songs, including one in which rick white screamed. SCREAMED, i tell you. they were loud, too loud for what they were trying to do, in my opinion. i very muchly enjoyed the songs, but the noise level was too much. i was happy that they played "paranoid", from the wait a day 7''. TOO LOUD!!! of course, rick white did the sound so it was insanely loud. we should have known... my first video blunder...i pressed record TWICE when rick went up to sing, so of course all i got was my stupid hand putting the lens cap back on AFTER he left the stage. Duh. by the way, i had missed hedge, madhat ( who struck me as a thrush hermity kind of band this summer, or kind of like wagbeard from calgary, actually...pop, in the power pop vein....), and cleveland steamer who i didn't feel bad missing since their performance this summer annoyed me. i know someone (jon) will kill me but i left before space needle played that afternoon so i could eat and go see Len at R.O.W. i left with dream and adina from new york, hoping to meet up with katrina warren d'arcy and d'arcy's friend who i forgot her name oh man i'm so stupid. BUT thanks to dream and adina's "when harry met sally" restaurant ordering style :) :) (does the fajitas have onions? can i get this dressing on the side? do you have....etc etc etc) :) :) we took forever to eat and i missed len. i walked to r.o.w. in time to see them loading their gear and swearing. rats. so we walked to roderick's house to rest a bit and get ready for the evening's festivities. :) coming soon, part one billion of my boring adventures in halifax... -- "A lot of people think Matt's Kato Kaelin." - Drew Yamada, the Super Friendz ***CJSW 90.9 fm --> http://www.ucalgary.ca/~cjswfm***
