morning y'all...
i guess a lot of people saw _fax_ last night, eh? yeah, that
soccer-rocker-jock-band with it's two brothers.... somebody stop me before i
raid muchmusic..
anyways, last night on cfny fm, dave bookman [yes, *that* dave, cp ;) ] was
doing the indie-hour as usual, but to open the show, played 'snowsuit sound'
:)
and mentioned that it's a great summer single... summer? snowsuit? if this
is a
single, does that mean that i can't be sizzle teen anymore?? and next up was
a
call with (music please) colin mackenzie!
ok, so here's some of the dirt ;) that he revealed...
- there's still some _tr_ vinyls left
- they're gonna set up a murder booth at sloanfest
- andrew was there in the office listening to james brown
- sloan have conquered the hardship post's practice space, while jale and the
super friendz (king of indie rock!?) share the same space
- the murder sampler that we all want will feature the following tracks:
the super friendz: "One Day To Warn Her" (note: i hope i got the title
right), a
Dillion-esque ode to al tuck and no
action
jale : "Frightened Of", a song by andy mcdaniel of leonard conan fame
thrush hermit: "West Island Rockers", a 7 minute version of this local
rabbits
tune, which had to be cut down 'cause it's too
long...
stinkin' rich: "By Design", which is his own original track
..if i don't get a copy of this cd, i will cry.... a lot.. maybe flood the
ampitheatre
with my tears.... however, bookman said that they're still working out the
details 'bout how to get this cd... hmmm...
so, that's basically what colin had to say.
