Just a thought, but we use the term "jump start" for a delivering a similar workshop service to get customers going on a particular technology solution. Googling seems to indicate that it isn't exclusive to any one particular product. The 2nd definition from
http://www.answers.com/jump-start&r=67
I coined the term in the hope someone would find a better one. :-)
Any suggestions for a replacement are welcomed.

Hi List,
I'm having a problem with amavisd-new. My apt-get upgrade broke it (and
my entire postfix/spamassassin e-mail service) and I've tried to sort it without luck and
probably compounded the problem.
Is there anyone with this understanding/ability likely to be attending the workshop, please?

Basically it's the concept of preparing people, or "decking" them out,
to go home and install linux instead of bringing their machines in.
This is basically since linux is so easy to install these days -
however we're keeping the traditional instal

G'day everyone,
Sorry for the short notice on this one - in compensation I'm expecting
you all to invite along any friends who may be interested. ;)
SLUG's workshop will be a be a fusion of traditional SLUG events -
consisting of a codefest, videofest, installfest and for the first

If you mean web bassed forums I'd say forget it. Most of the people
who can really help avoid web based forums because they suck.
That's very unusual behaviour, an I say that as someone that actually
knows (mostly) how CPAN.pm works.
You should absolutely report that to the rt.cpan.org support queue for
CPAN.pm.
And if I may, I'd also like to reinforce that point for anyone that has
problems with CPAN modules. PLEASE r

I'm rsyncing some files from a linux server down to a FAT partition on
my laptop (FAT because I want to access the files from both Linux and
Windoze). Unfortunately rsync thinks some of the files are different
(when they're not) and therefore deletes the copied file and recopies it
down. Any ideas
