you should start by looking at /etc/init.d/iptables this uses iptables-save and iptables-restore and saves rules in /etc/sysconfig/iptables if you're lucky the sysconfig file is already populated and you can just manipulate it directly, otherwise perhaps the easiest way would be to start the fir
