I've just downloaded the source of Gnome 2.2.x, and am preparing to
compile it... After fscking up the GARNOME release (of Gnome 2.0) that
one of the magazines had on their cover CD (Gnome 2.0 - easy to
run - wonder how many newbies fell for that !!), just wondering if

Oh, who put
I just downloaded and built garnome.
The only extra thing I needed to install on redhat8
to make it finish was bz2 devel rpm.
I let you know how long it took to build and other
details if anyone is initerested.

month ahead of the originally planned six-month release cycle. Check out
the Gnome 2.2 Start Page and use a mirror to download.
