Doesn't this waste a lot of ram ? I build a lot modules for stuff I don't
use much. But then again I can just insmod it when i need it.

On any distro, you have to deal with /etc/modu* -> extensive documentation
and pointers in /usr/share/doc/modutils/*

Yeah, the question was to do with modconf in debian and there tricky
kernel build scripts.
I did the noraml compile from the sources as i have always done, but
discovered that this broke modconf. I was wondering if modconf was limited
to use with th
