well worded.

in that case, i suggest simply that we add a phrase against "clearly
off topic" posts (particularly windows tech-support). and more to the
point, we (as a list) start referring people to these points when they
"break the rules" (and don't break them ourselves ;)


bugger it, lets just change this thread to:

"can everyone refrain from off-topic posts for a few months and we'll
see if we like it better"

agreed. i certainly didn't want to introduce any "mailing list
nazis". i suggest we move this to "allowed" until we can better define
it.

again agreed. the "don't post in HTML format" line in the faq is
probably sufficient to let people know.
