Hi, I tried to install RH7.2 on a new box with an Intel motherboard and an Adaptec AIC-7899 scsi card. It is configured as follows: hda: CD-ROM hdb: hdc: hdd: hde, hdf and hdg: striped on 3 drives plugged into the scsi card.
For some reason, RH put /boot on hdg1. It works fine once booted but you can only boot it by floppy and even then you must i. Tell it to ignore one of the stripes being off-line ii. Tell it to ignore the booting order each time you boot. So I must have damaged a boot sector somewhere. Has anyone met this before, please? What did you do.
