I'll go along with Sam on this.
One caveat though - 'bigger' faster drives = more heat. make sure all the air
channels are clear.
BTW - Thought about putting a big ATA/IDE drive in the 2nd optical drive bay?

No idea how it well it works though.
Printopia is great. If there's a Mac on your network (10.5 or later) that's
always on, Printopia is worth the p

Hi Ben,
OS10.6. It stopped working when I upgraded as it relied on Appletalk which
disappeared with SL. An email conversation produced those settings (via the
menu panel on the printer) and it has been working ever since. Very pleased as
I had just boought a new toner cartridge.

We've got a big cheese grater Power Mac G5 that we want to use for some
storage work.
It's got two bays for hard drives, one occupied with the original stock drive.
I thought we should be able to get a 1TB drive and stick that in the second bay.
However my colleague has pointed out this doc
Hi John,
We don't have any issues with the network setting, we can see the printer, and
can print to it from machines running older OS; as far as I know the issue is
with Snow Leopard (and I guess Lion) and Windows 7 (and I guess 8) drivers not
supporting it.
What OS are you using with it?
Mine is working(with help fromGCC) with the following settings on the printer:
IP class B
IP address169.254.237.025
Subnet FF.FF.00.00
Broadcast address 255.255.255.255
Router address169.254.237.1
Hope this helps

Perfectly good low-mileage laser printer:
GCC Technologies Elite 12PPM.
... but not compatible with Snow Leopard (I think it is with Leopard, with
some extra effort, but won't swear to it) or with Windows 7.
Available for collection from central Brighton, please let me know if
interested.
That's a relief. I thought I was going quite mad when I could access my
MobileMe account but my wife could not - even on the same machine.

Discounting UK VAT and adding back NY sales tax rate the equivalent to the US
price is £5
Just to add my comment on US versus UK prices. I was able to visit the
Apple 5th Ave store in New York earlier this month and purchased my Magic
Trackpad for US$69.99 + 8.875% NY sales tax making it US$75 which at today's
rate is £48.16 compared with £59.99 on the Apple UK website. Still decidi

Apple has had an outage on MobileMe and up to 75% of email accounts are having
problems. MobileMe support page has more info.
