Check that Settings > General > Multitasking gestures is switched on. If that doesn't address it all, and sounds like it may not, then restart iPad by holding down the sleep/wake button until "Slide to power off" and after you've done that and the whirls thing has gone then hold the sleep/wake b

[sussex_mug] Failure of swipe up menu on iPad using IOS 8

Can anyone advise on this problem? My iPad 2 air no longer accesses the menu for multi tasking and closing screens or using Air Drop etc from iTunes. I can get to the multi task operation by pressing the Home button twice quickly, but I can find no way of selecting Apple TV or my wi fi speaker.
