I use the download section on the UK Apple website where there is a clearly marked combo update. It’s usually quicker than through the App Store I have found. I always remember Sam suggesting that this is the safest option because then the extra part is seamlessly embedded in the whole OS

I had heard that several time Gilly (perhaps even on here?) … but then I just use the Update button in the App Store anyway. I could not update my new MacBook Pro to 10.12.4 last night using the App Store Updates page - it downloaded it but that was it - 4 times! Even after a restart it
