Save the connection as a bookmark in Transmit, then you can enable the transmit
menubar

You could use Transmit or MacFUSE to mount the FTP share from the NAS as a
file system on your Mac? It's a bit inconvenient but I find Transmit's Mount as
Disk feature invaluable.

I noticed this the first few days so then left it on overnight so it could

search indexes. Probably just bad timing that the bad blocks on the drive
starting causing problems, they'd probably been there for a while just hadn't
been used.

I had problems like this, found a number of processes running at high %'s;
whether it's connected or not I don't know, but it looks like I need a new hard
disk as well.

menu > Connect to Server > smb://

I have two network drives which I use for different tasks.
The Iomega 1 terabyte I can still acces underLion.
The other dive is an older one and lion will not accept it's
software..Appently Apple is requiring all devices have to support the new
neatalk 2.2 protocol.

Yes, I was aware of that but had wondered what had happened to 7.1! Surely it
would be a first if the public version jumped from 7.0 to 7.2 though ...
