I drag files from the desktop into my dropbox, then I open them from there and
they are saved back to dropbox and update everywhere.
Does it really matter that you have to save first and then drag the file into
your dropbox? It doesn't seem that onerous to me.

Ultimately, it'll be a case of opening VMware Fusion, which will auto-run the
10.9 virtual machine in a window, then you can just open pages on that, iCloud
will sync the docs.

Have 8GB on the iMac and 4GB on the laptop. Running Mavericks as a virtual
machine sounds a bit of a pavlova. Might need you to show me it's not!

Apple are one step ahead of you there Ranulph. The send to Dropbox option that
I think used to be in iOS Pages has gone. I'd also still have the problem
anyway of not being able to open iOS Pages docs on OS X. The Dropbox option
only works if I migrate from Pages and start writing in something e

How much RAM does your iMac have? You can install VMWare Fusion and run
Mavericks as a virtual machine, then just use that for Pages. 8GB or more would
be fine.
