I¹m having problems upgrading to El Capitan, tried 3 times so far and all three failed with my MacPro (Early 2008, Yosemite, Crucial SSD) stuck on the final restart just before end of progress bar. So have to restore disk from my SuperDuper backup disk.
I read somewhere that old Œ.kext¹ files can cause a Mac to hang but which ones? Just came across this link which explains the situation and offers solutions.
