The articles do mention exactly those kinds of apps Sam - ones to watch out
for. However, for 95% of apps that we use the advice is absolutely sound.

Depends on the app though. My baby monitor app tries to keep a connection to
the camera when it's in the background, I can watch the battery level drop by
the minute. Probably a poorly made app.
