Title: RE: Length of soap message
You can get the length of the HTTP Request in bytes from getContentLength() method from the HTTP request. Then you can derive the length in characters from that. As for determining the length of individual parts of the message, I am not sure if there's an ex

Hi Guys,
Yes, I agree with you. There is nothing worse than to be "fanatic" for some
specific kind of Technology. I must say I am a Forte Developer (Yes, one of
the last ones) and after working with several technologies during my life
(including Forte, Java and Microsoft), I got to a nice conclus

RMI/CORBA relies on stubs and skeletons. Therefore It need close
coordination between the two ends that are communicating. If I make a change
in the specification, I have to make changes at both ends. (In SOAP the

up my work here.
I was not looking for a fundamental discussion about
SOAP and RMI/CORBA :)
I know that RMI/CORBA is mutch more powerful
I have heard you can configure RMI, that it can
communicate through firewalls, so this is not
neccessarily a freature of SOAP.
I think a big feature of SOAP is that you are not bind
to a central Registry like in RMI. You can distribute
SOAP at different locations to provide reliability.

Listen, you are subscribed to a soap mailing list and have been implenting
soap for awhile now, that is why you feel you are getting hyped out. IBM and
Microsoft, among others, have embraced this technology because it has
decided to live inside a well know
