Randy, I agree that there were some questionable conditions concerning Sam Girardi's lost "HERA". The bottom line is that it is a great smooth flying airplane. No matter how well you build a tool it will have it's limitations. I don't think the demise of Sam's Hera requires any further

Hi Gary, I used to have the same problem and thought it was because the resin was heating up too much causing the paint to release from the basswood plug. I do a similar plug finishing method as you except I add a coat or two of paint over the primer and then sand down from 1000 grit to 1500

I'm in the process of reorganizing my Garage. (It has not had a car in for 7 years) I want to upgrade my building table to a full 8' long. Any suggestions on how to make a flat 8' x2'table? Any suggestions on the best surface material? What do people use for building boards? Paul
