Leaving the plane turned on isn't great for your battery. But, it happens. I've done several times. If the battery will take a charge and return to nominal voltage (it usually will), you should be fine. Your Alpha4 probably didn't like charging a battery with near zero volts. Many chargers don't

That is very effective at getting line speed. But that is also the problem. The towers are linear to the attached devices. If any failure occurs the devices or line is launched straight at one of the towers. What kind of damage will a hand tow reel do when it hits somebody in the head? I'm

1. CASA in the DC/MD/NoVA area flies a mix of "pure" sailplanes as well as electric. One site we have was previously used by a power club, but they lost it because of noise complaints. So far, we have had absolutely no problems with noise from electrics. 2. RF noise from motors is minimal. M
