A note on Obeche;
I have been a cabinetmaker and furniture designer, and now I make airplanes.
Obeche, for some reason, enjoys a certian mystique within the realm of model
aviation. The reality is that Obeche is the the bottom feeder of hardwood
veneers used mostly in industry for substrate level
I heard (at the
Nats) that these two events would maybe go to every other year, switching off
with Scale - did anyone else hear this? That is part of how Scale got to a
2-day event, next year F3x /CC would do same.

Just watch out for the Poison Oak mixed in with the Ice Plant. I got a
real bad case of it chasing my plane there.

I came across a cool tip to use with water based clear finishes.
Put a few drops of food coloring into it and you have a colored
transparent finish. I tried it with some Minwax Polycrylic. Got a bright
red color that you could still see the grain through. I don't know how
the food
