Since a CAT5 cable's individual wires are a single strand I am not sure it will take to much repetitive movement before breaking. I would rather see multi strand wires where you have to move the wires a lot. Mark http://www.isthmusmodels.com --- Jack Womack <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I have to

I have to agree that the telephone connectors are not really designed for much current. I use RJ-45's by the thousands, but the current in a standard telephone circuit is usually 20 mils. I don't think I'd really recommend this for wing servos, now that I really think about it. The CAT-5 cable in m

Probably has to do with the velocity at the end of the hose. The long hose lowers the pressure drop at the end enough to get you into a resonant region. Slowing down the motor, or partly blocking the flow in some way might get a similar effect with a shorter hose. Probably means you have a lo

Hey guys, Keep in mind that telephone and data circuits are not designed to carry much current. RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors don't have much contact area. When you are trying to pull up out of that steep dive, and your elevator servo is calling for max power, a lot of that power may end up heat

Re: [RCSE] "electrons stay inside the wire"

As I recall from a lecture in a physical electronics class and from more recent reading on the web, under the conditions prevalent in most electronic circuits, electrons essentially diffuse through a conductor. Their major velocity is random in both magnitude and direction because of collisions

There is also a 10 conductor RJ-45 that is common in some IBM products. We're passing 100Mbps with the darn things, I don't know what kind of current draw a stalled 85-mg runs, but I think a quality connector would be OK. That's what I do for a living Jack Womack, RCDD --- Ryan Flowers <[EMAIL

I rather doubt CA adhesives were copied from barnicles. CA is rather different chemistry from any biomolecules. Also, CA reacts rapidly when there is any water around. Since most living things are full of water, they would have a hard time synthesizing CA without it immediately reacting. A l

Direct Current used the whole cross section of the wire. As the frequency of AC goes up the flow crawls out to the surface of the wire. At higher frequencies the energy tends to wander off out into space. If the electrons all stayed inside the wire life wouldn't be nearly as interesting. You'd a

RJ-45 connectors work great, perfect to quickly connect multi-servo wings. www.cyberguys.com sells double ended RJ-45 patch cords, just cut them in half. They also offer RJ-45 Jacks (the female thingy) that can be wired without a punch tool. Buy both color coded so you don't inadvertently plug t
