one in the field, though, and suspect most glider
guiders would not like its noise contribution, nor
its operational quirks.
An optimum solution for many is to mount winch,
retriever, and batteries on a small 4x4 ft. utility
trailer.

, stuck a Dymond Max48 motor
and 6 SCR1000 cells in it and fly it as a power
plane. It's a lousy glider but a fun power plane
that I use as my "travel plane". It does OK rolls
on rudder, and a beautiful snap roll/tumble thing.
10 minute flights at full power, too.
