I bought one from Skip Miller last summer. I think it is a wonderful sailplane. It launches great with no bad habits, unlike my Eraser that can be a handful in a crosswind. It thermals beautify and is very easy to fly. Penetrates about the same as an Emerald. The only thing I don't like about it is the top hinged flap. I modified mine to get another 25- 30 degrees of flap.Even then it doesn't slow down like a Sapphire, but it does land nice, it just takes some practice. My second day with it was at a contest, and all my landings were 90+ (AMA tapes). It might be a older design, but I think it can compete with anything out there. Cheers P.S. It is very strong and the finish on Mueller planes are second to none. ----- Original Message ----- From: Stephen Syrotiak <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2000 1:49 PM Subject: [RCSE] Opinions of Muller "Esprit" > Pro and con.
