Now that we know how much some of you love to dive your sailplanes, my post was about getting an answer to a single question. It was specificly directed to Thermal Duration Sailplane pilots.  I stated specifically that I had no interest in myth about diagnoising CG with diving...
By the way... what if someone like JW made it clear that diving Thermal Duration sailplanes was the least effective way to determine proper balance of a TD sailplane but was valuable for uncovering problems I am asking about in this and the last post?  Who's system would you use then? Mark's or Joe's?  By the way Dr. Drela knows the answers to my question.  So do you?

So here it is again for all of you who apparently have some agenda other than RC Sailplanes.

The question is just below this sentence:

What 'valuable' conditions, shortcoming, or things CAN a dive test uncover for 'tuning' Thermal Duration sailplanes?

The question is just above this sentence:

DO NOT address NOSE WEIGHT since while your planes usually do have too much nose weight, its the other things we have to know before we can do any testing to determine balance.  SO NO NOSE weight (balance) answers to this particular question about dive testing!

Here's the question again for those of you who missed it above:
What kind of things can we determine with a high speed dive test that will help us optimize the PERFORMANCE of our TD ships? (yes I have the answers)  Here's a clue.... its all behind the wing...and they are IMPORTANT.

Okay I lied about the following sentence, I went and flew with Don Cleveland of Houston Hawk fame.

I'll wait right here in my motel room, even though its sunny and calm here in Houston, waiting for your enlightened answers.. JUST post your answers, not my text!...
