Don't do it. I am as cheap as they come. I bought some .010 Mylar... It's useable, but I'd rather have 0.014. There are several reasons:
1. It's easier to cut use the mylars as a template for cutting the fiber-glass and carbon once wetted out. 2. Painting flimsy 0.010 is a hassle. 3. Handling the mylars with the wet composites is really a pain. 4. Wind leading edge: advantage and disadvantage... the thinner mylar wraps better. For folks who are used to the stiff edges, this is NOT desirable! 0.014 is the STANDARD, use it. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
