Subject: [RCSE] 3 R's Video

Hi y'all,

Just letting you all know that I've videos in stock now. Shipped out
the first wave on Tuesday. I'm now learning the "fun" that John Roe
has dealt with for the last few years! Post office lines, labelling and
tracking of orders, shipping supplies, etc.... Still, to a good cause,
at least some think so!

If you want to get a 3 R's video, send me an email with the shipping
address that you wish it sent to via USPS, and send me a check to:

Joe Wurts
25327 Avenida Ronada
Valencia CA 91355

The price is $20, with a few bucks for shipping & handling. The S&H
is on the honor system. I'll still ship it if you send just $20. All of
the
proceeds will go to the US F3B team fund. The fund covers the monies
necessary to send the team to the World Championships, lodging, and
car rental expenses, minus what the AMA provides. Previous soaring
WC events had team fund budgets between $10k and $15k, so there
are a lot of funds to be raised. :-(

A thumbnail description of the video is in order for those of you that
might not have heard of it.

The 3 R's stands for Reading the air, Riding thermals, and Recoring
thermals. The video was put together via John Roe's efforts, and shows
the results of amateur video production. Still, I think that it imparts
some
very useful information. It has a combination of on the field flight shots
and
"studio lectures" describing the third vector method for reading thermal
location via wind shifts. Also, it covers some common thermalling mistakes
that we all do at times, as well as how to better work thermals. If you are
in
doubt, maaybe post a question to RCSE as to whether or not it is
worth your time and money. So far, I've not heard from anyone that was
unsatisfied, but I've not been in the position of selling stuff before. If
I'm
lucky, I might possibly be one of the vendors that gets bashed on RCSE!

One thing to remember, nobody is getting any profits (or even wages) on
this. All proceeds are going to the USA Soaring team.

Thanks for your time, apologize for the bandwidth.
Joe Wurts

PS Unfortunately, we only have NTSC format, no PAL. It costs a lot to
get a PAL format rendition. If there is sufficient interest, maybe we could
put together an order, but it would have a surcharge.
