I may have had a PC glitch so if this message is redundant I apologize in advance. For those of you [maybe only me] who also build scale sailplanes may wish to take heed of the following advice. I recently purchased a Skybench Baby Bowlus Albatross short kit, which contains a nice set of laser cut tail/rudder/wing ribs fuselage formers and plans, also included is a separate plan of one wing which avoids turning the plan over and soaking with paraffin to build opposite side wing. However builders of this particular model should be aware of glaring errors particularly the wings, I only discovered these errors after completely building a set of wings and standing them together. Point to note the left wing plan measures from tip to root 61 1/4" the right hand plan measures 62 1/4" the problem starts at rib 7 from root progressively getting worse the result being the aileron is short as is the wing, could be a potential problem on maiden flight. There are other errors that only the discerning modeler would bother to address ie the undercarriage wheel is to high for wing strut, the aileron should be of geodetic construction. I guess the moral of this story is never assume every thing is correct ,check and re check, and unlike me you will save a chunk of cash and time. I did relay this information to Skybench, Saturday, no doubt they will address this problem. David AKA The Brit
