As far as full-size gliders go there are far many
more flying wing gliders than canards - I think that
tells us a thing or two! And landing out will be
very hard on a nose canard, as it probably need
to be fitted low on the fuselage as not to obstruct 
forward view altogether.

A botched landing with any type of canard model 
will certainly make the survival chances of the canard
surfaces less than bright!

Again, conventional models are easier!
