I don't know that you "need" any plane. However, the only reason that
someone would not want a molded plane is because they have never flown one.
Nothing else flys or sounds like a well made molded plane.

I flew a modified Sapphire. This plane 2nd generation plane was built before
the Sapphire CGT was available. It's composite wings, 123", with a 7080
airfoil. Flies GREAT!! My buddy Bob flies the same with a 7035. We both got
all of our times. (Now if we could just hit ALL of our landings!) Ke

How about one of the contestants of the California contest give the rest of
poor souls that couldn't make it the types of planes used. I'm already
thinking about the 2000 season and will need a new open class ship. Thanks
