We happened to burn up a good Ford Long Shaft motor (model 3110) recently, so time for a replacement. So we stopped by our reputable local motor shop and they could no longer offer the Lester model. The shop did have a "replacement" 6v motor with the same specifications as the 3110. The new mode

The shunt was used on a two field model for 12 volts. If you wish to take the motor apart you need to simply snip the two wires going to it. Compared to the main field windings they are very small. But when the starter came off the Bendix by accident it held things under control. Doubtful i

A couple years ago I asked RCSE about replacing the front bushing with a needle bearing on my FLS winch. One person said not to do it. It would scar the armature. Boy were you wrong. It didn't scar the armature. It just froze on the armature. I'm sure a 10 ton press can get it off. I'm re
