Most of the GENIE files at http://genie.rchomepage.com/ have just been updated, thanks again to friend Jay Decker who posts the pages.

In building my 8th Genie LT/S, I worked out a simple, dedicated servo mounting system for the RDS and figured out how to easily rout clean, uniform wells and make covers that flush fit perfectly. See File 3, the wing file, starting pg. 18.

There is new stuff in File 6, the RDS file, worth reviewing if you want the latest info on this unique system of moving surfaces.

Friend Winston Okerlund recently came up with a new hinging idea we call "Kevlar Easy Hinges". See about it in the "HINGING OPTIONS" file.

The pages now cover the construction of the GENIE PRO (GP) and give a source for the available composite fuselage. As to the GP ARF status, it's still in the works, expected to be flown at the NATS in the F3J event. Les Horvath can now offer beautiful CNC cut cores to bag the wing for this ICON-sized version of the GENIE. It fits the GENIE composite fuse. You'll get about $400 into the airframe going this route.

The GP will have the feel of a larger airframe and be light enough (72-75 oz.) to get great zooms off winches typically used at thermal contests. With the Kevlar wrapped, double-tapered CF spar system and the overall CF in the layup, it will handle gorilla launches same as the big GENIE or LT/S. Flaps and ailerons will be RDS operated for a completely clean wing.

I'm not saying you'll have the equivalent of the $1,800 ICON, but the GP will be about the closest thing to it around and you'll feel like a bandit for getting off so cheaply. After I finish and fly mine, I'll provide pics, specs and info by e-mail. Ask me *now* to put you on the GP mailing list.

I'm fortunate at 84 to have the enthusiasm, drive and capability to still be designing, scratch-building and competing. Most of you still have decades to be involved in this game. The web pages offer a liberal education to make the most of it by detailing how to build one or more of the Genie line of high performance airframes. You'll save bundles, but more importantly learn skills to create your own original designs and operate independently .

Check out the "WHAT'S AVAILABLE?" file to see what's available to help you get started. The CD-R's that come with the plans and package I offer will always have material in them current as of the date mailed.
