Hello All!

I have a newly built set of sa7035 HLG wings that I am
going to install ailerons/flapperons this weekend. A
lot of stuff I have figured out from articles and
archives, but I want to get confirmation that I have
this figured out correctly. Also I have some throw
questions.

I plan to cut the ailerons to about a width of 23% of
root chord (1.6" on 7" root chord). I will also put in
trilerons since I saw them on the Texas Twister and
they looked nice and effective. I haven't chosen a
servo yet, but was expecting to use cs21bb servos.
Should I get MG servos since I will be flapping them?
(flapperons that is) Do they make MG servos that
small?

I will cut out servo bays somewhere aft of the spar,
and a couple of inches from the center. (Or should I
place them further outbound?) I will glue (epoxy) in a
thin ply base and glue in the servos with the arms
outboard and aft on each wing.

Here is where I am a little light on knowledge. I
figure that in order to have more travel in the flap
direction, I probably have to center the servos, then
put the servo arms on off center - my guess is canted
towards the TE. How much throw should I set up and
down for the ailerons, and how much droop should I
expect from the flaps of a top-hinged flapperon wing?

Is there anything I forgot?

Thank you for your help.

John Gossett
