Hello all,

I recently inherited a couple of JR XF622 radios, complete with manuals,
that had been left on the previous owner's shelf without use for a year or
more. One appears to function properly. However, the other insists the
battery is dead (reports "Low Bat, 0.0V") even after replacing the battery
with a new, fully charged pack (tested in the other radio).

Seems that I once read on this list or somewhere similar that leaving a JR
radio on until the battery was completely drained would screw up the
computer and the unit would have to be reset before it would function
properly. Is it possible that this could be the problem? Anyone else had
any experience with this or know how to "reset" the computer (or do I have
to send it in for factory service)?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
