Ah yes...Mollys Tamales at high noon. Its a must eat when in SantaFe, N.M.
We meet for lunch...

Bozo: So Don... how does it feel to have your planes make it to the F3B
world Champs AND place one two at F3J team selection?

Don: "Pretty damn good...pinch me hard and pull me back down to earth.
Your not gonna print this are you?"
Bozo: I sure am...

Bozo: I know it has been somewhat difficult to get any of your planes,
HLG or otherwise...how long will I have to wait if I ordered one today?
Don: "Well lets see...(pause)...Encores about 5 months...(pause)...Icons
about 9 months. F3B or f3J."

Bozo: Anything new that you want to tell us about?
Don: "Well we are working on an Icon light...the low fat version."

Bozo: How light?
Don: "Can't say yet...haven't built it. But we plan to use a lighter
weight glass on the tips and reduce the carbon in the spar."

Bozo: But Don, if you pull carbon from the spars won't the wings flex
more?

Don: "Look, they don't bend at all now, they are as stiff as a painters
board. You gotta remember there is dihedral at the center break AND at the
tips...This tip break helps to make the plane LOOK like the wing is bending
on tow and this is what the Euro folks were seeing at the worlds. It may
have seemed like the wing was bending... but it was not."

Bozo: ah-sooo...an optical illusion?

Bozo: Lets eat...
Don: "Yeah Ill second that!"
