style MOM contest the end of the month.
It will be a Michigan Soaring League contest but all are invited. We will
provide lunch for the contestants and hope to get started by 9 or 9:30 for
first flight.
As all OVSS

Lee,
You need to contact pat Crosby in Chicago, he has a window based program that
even allows a pilots pic to be on his score card. Really slick and way better
than any data base system. He can stay ahead of a contest so that after the
big boys fly, the special needs group is ready to go,
And its easy enough to use that we use it during a regular monthly
club contest.

I just discovered that I had inadvertantly failed to send a spreadsheet to one
of the guys who requested it. If anybody else asked for a copy but didn't get
it, please let me know.
Thanks to those who have sent feedback. Several have said that they propose to
use it in upcoming club contests,
Okay, I have sent out about twenty, and I think/hope I have answered everybody
who requested the spreadsheet. If you requested one and did not get my email
with the spreadsheet attached, please let me know.
I hope you guys plan to put this to good use by trying MOM in your club
contests. We
Take a look at http://www.scoring.dh-web.com/. It works well for us in
the ESL. It can even be made to support seeded man-on-man by selecting the
seeded groups manually from the cumulative standings after each round and then
entering the seeded group # along with each contestants score
Anyone have any scoring software or Excel sheets that handle MOM
scoring? I've trolled through the RCSE Archives
(http://www.mail-archive.com/soaring@airage.com/) and found only a few
scattered comments.
Anyone care to point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Many attempts at doing MOM with computer fail because of adequate
preparation and backup process, always in case the first fails.
I am a firm believer that a MOM contest can be run quicker than
manual scoring. I just have not seen the software that can do it yet.
With larger displays

Now Ben we expect to see a report on the variety of scoring
information you have acquired. :-)
I'll get to that after I steal Bob Schiedt's brain and map it into a
neural network, fashion a bust of his head, install a computer inside of
it, and have it eat people's scoresheets
So let me get this straight (as a scorekeeper kind of guy!).
In a MoM contest I have 5 pilots in the group.
Pilot 1: -1 sec 85 Landing
Pilot 2: -1 sec 80 Landing
Pilot 3: +3 sec 75 Landing
Pilot 4: +4 sec 95 Landing
Pilot 5: -4 sec 99 Landing
What are the scores?
How about the SWC where I probably
(still practicing landings every day!!!)

was the first SCSR MoM race of the year since mother
