Years ago, I covered a glow engine RC trainer with white Super Monocote then sanded the
parts I wanted to paint using either 600 or 400 SiC paper (don't remember which, I 
think I
would use 600 if trying it again.)  Then a friend with a sprayer sprayed on either K&B 
or
HobbyPoxy (don't remember which) orange epoxy paint.  Except for a few small bleeds 
under
the masking tape, it looked great and stuck tight.  I had been planing to run trim tape
along all the color transition lines, so the bleeeds were not a problem.  Better 
masking
tape, perhaps some of the vinyl kind, would probably stop the bleeding.  No primer 
needed,
just make sure to wipe off any sanding residue and skin oils with some thinner prior to
spraying.
