Not sure about this, but I think the Futaba might use Flash Ram, which incoprates the
battery with the memory. Again, I'm not sure
about the Tx itself, but there was an article in RCM about making Clonepacs which said
that the memory used was rated at over 200
years before it wears down. I would assume (or at least hope), that they would use
something similar in the Tx. Not that I plan on
flying my R/C planes for that long. :)
