Someone recently was looking for a laser that would project a crosshairs at the floor. I don't remember who it was (sorry) but I came across a Bushnell PivotPoint Laser Level # 82897 at the local Fry's grocery store that fits the bill. It will project a dot, line , or crosshairs anywhere from straight up to straight down. It was on sale for $14.97. Hope this helps.
