Not the intent at all Kevin. These rules were developed for
safety, simplicity and sportsmanship in slope racing, not
combat. The people that are objecting 1) are misinterpreting
them, 2) are a minority, or 3) don't belong in those beginner
classes anyway. The foamie classes are being developed
to bring more people into slope racing without major costs.
You can buy a kit off the shelf and jump in without modifications
to the kit. We are combining two of the three 60 inch classes
to provide a foamie class that people can get creative with and
still not spend a lot of money smashing up composite ships.

The 60 inch and unlimited composite classes are still there
for the serious slope racers who can afford it, or are great
builders, and like to build.

The system is so simple I've never photo'd it! sounds like you have the
right idea though. John Phillips' method got tested at the Brit Pylon nats
this Saturday, worked just fine!
I appreciate the discussion you chaps are having about rules, it's made me
rememebet how much I hate them (:-)
I see rules about, rules, about other rules in my day job but they have to
be there. We are just trying to have good clean fun. If anyone tries to
outlaw a small tongue of ply accross the centre on your wings beacause it's
"not legal" send them to me and I'll ensure a slow and painfull death by
MacDonalds.<VBG>
Keep up the good work.
