Thanks Daryl, I rest my case. Seriously - to be competitive in 2M you
have to have a decent airplane (there are notable exceptions but most of
us aren't them). For MOST of us this special 2M plane costs a wad of money and
is virtually NEVER flown except once a year at the NATS. The rest of the year
it sits gathering dust while we fly our club contests with Icons, Sharons and a
myriad of aircraft; each one infinitely better in performance and fun than any
2M. We fly HLG or aerotow or XC or electrics --anything except 2
meter. Why is it that there are so few competitive 2 meter sailplanes
being manufactured - at a time when there is a long waiting list
for many unlimiteds? Nobody buys them! 2M will die eventually; for the same
