Hi
a good source of rare earth magnets about 30 X 15 X 2mm is from stripping down an old 3.5" hard disc drive (used for driving the heads) - ultra strong - remove them with acetone, don't try to prise them off or they will break.
Lots of other useful bits too - bearings etc.
