Yes, this is definitely an old thread...

There is a fix for the older 8UAF TX, other than plugging and
unplugging the
module (which you will eventually for get to do).  The short of it,
cut the yellow wire running from the board the frequency module plugs
into
to the main board.  For the long of it, email me personally, as the
whole
thing has been posted to RCSE several times.
