I use and sell spring holders for the Stylus and have never had a problem.
I have 1800 and 2000 mah cells in them.  (I see little or no difference in
the 2000 cells as far as flight time goes).  I have changed packs while in
the air.  Just make sure you set up your plane mechanically zero (radio
centers and trims at 0 or very close) and try it with your plane on the
ground first to see what it will do.  I have one plane that flies nice and
straight, and another that dives straight down (I don't do it when flying
that one).  Since using the 1800 cells, I really haven't had the occasion
(or need) to change while in the air.
