Dennis Hipperson decided to host me for thursday nite because the weather didn't want to cooperate, so we went to where he and David Hobby work. Aerosonde....if you guys remember they were the first to fly a UAV over the Atlantic without touching the controls.  There were articles in the mags about it.  It looks sort of like the Cessna pushme pullyou plane, double tail booms and a RNR Genesis wing. I got to see all the secret stuff that goes inside and saw whee they put things together too.

Then over to Dennis' home for a beer and some roast lamb and mint sauce...life could be worse :-)

I got to Sydney from Melbourne last nite and realized that I forgot my copy of the model ariplane video AMA sent me (just kidding)   Actually when I got off the plane, Carl Strautin picked me up to host me for a weekend of girls, beer, beaches and a contest..the Heatcoate Cup. We flew all day today practicing and he took some time to teach me circle towing which can scare the crap out of you if you screw up.

We also worked on launch technique tune ups and I averaged an extra 70' per launch after according to my Picolario...so pretty happy bout that.  My Pike is still my best friend and I am going to keep flying them for quite a while.

Wish you guys were here....Do you know what tomorrow's contest means?  Yep, LSF3 is going to be in the bag for me!
