If you know the watts, how do you figure the amps?
I know this is very simple "I think" but a friend asked and I told him
I know a place where that would make quite a few people laugh, but they
would know the answer.

Watts=Volts x Amps
Therefore:
Amps=W
You need to know the volts and then use the following formula:
Watts = Amps * Volts
Just make sure you use the same units when calculating i.e. don't mix mA and
Watt or mWatt and A.
