Yes, I was flying a Graupner Bussard and one of the two nylon hold down bolts broke. Plane spiraled in. Broke one blade and minor dent in one wing. The other bolt held (even with the extra stress) so I think the one that broke was flawed. They were surprisingly small to begin with (metric 4x20) but that was what plans called for (and as supplied). The fuse is ok but the wing spar broke out through the wing skin. Since the Opus has a metal wing bolt, it had no chance to break first and save the wing. It seems like having a nylon bolt would have prevented the damage (of course, at the expense of structural strength). Has anyone ever heard of a nylon wing bolt breaking in the air? Thanks in advance. John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products.
