Gordy must have gone to a different Toledo show than I did. I always go at
the opening on Friday. Last year attendance was down but this year it was
much worse than last year. Several years ago I could not get thru the
walkways for the crowd and it would take all day to see the whole show
floor. It would be almost imposable to get up to the booths in the past.
This year you could walk right up to almost all of the venders. I can only
remember a few booths that you would have to wait for service this year (on
Friday morning). This year we went thru the swap area and around the show
floor twice before leaving at 11:30 A.M. In prior years just one circuit
took until 2-3 P.M. The swap area was reduced in size and several tables
were not occupied. Even the contest/display tables were not as full on
Friday morning as in the past. Maybe it all changed after I left. The swap
tables and the display/contest entries filled up and the crowds appeared.

Hi Guys,

I've got my sources scouring the show this weekend (Barry Kennedy, Rich
Burnowski, LSF VP Ed Wilson and most importantly...our little Lee! ).

Futa has their 2.4 stuff on display, Airtronics has a mock up of their
upcoming 10 channel 2.4 TX and Xtreme Products are showing their wares.

Hitec is showing a new version of the fun Foamie soaring machine, the Easy
Glider Pro, a little more span, some improvements in stiffness, likely won't
be available in the USA for most of this year.

Kennedy Composites is the only vendor with sailplanes (NSP isn't showing
this year). Barry said he was blown away at the amount of buying being
done, he went expecting only lookers but he brought around a dozen Supras,
some Blasters, etc, and sold most of them already on Friday. Looks like the
only radio stuff being purchased is 2.4 versions.

Traffic was out of control Friday, and it continued for most of the day
today, but slowed in the afternoon, likely due to the sunshine finally
showing in the area.

I'd tell you more but then I'd have to ...you :-).

Gordy
Off toward Atlanta and beyond on Monday
